THURSDAY EVENING DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR A PORTION
OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...
The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley NE has issued a Fire
Weather Watch.
* WHAT...South winds 23 to 33 mph with peak gusts up to 49 mph,
Relative Humidity as low as 21 percent.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
Instruction:
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are
possible during the valid watch time. These conditions could promote
the rapid spread of wildfires which could become life-threatening.
Check weather.gov/omaha for forecast updates and a possible upgrade
of this watch to a Red Flag Warning.
