Moisture flowing northward over the Mississippi Valley will
produce showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over the
Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley, the Ohio Valley, and the
Tennessee Valley. Therefore, the WPC issued a Slight Risk (level
2/4) of excessive rainfall over parts of the region through
Tuesday morning. The associated heavy rain will mainly cause
localized flash flooding, with urban areas, roads, small streams,
and low-lying areas most vulnerable.
In addition, showers and severe thunderstorms will develop over
parts of the Central Plains and Central High Plains. Therefore,
the SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe
thunderstorms over parts of the Central High Plains and the
Central Plains through Tuesday morning. The hazards associated
with these thunderstorms include frequent lightning, severe wind
gusts, hail, and the threat of tornadoes.
On Tuesday, there is an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) of severe
thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Plains. The hazards
associated with these thunderstorms include frequent lightning,
severe wind gusts, hail, and the threat of tornadoes. Moreover,

over parts of the Northern Plains and Upper Mississippi Valley.
Furthermore, the WPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of
excessive rainfall over parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valley on

mainly cause localized flash flooding, with urban areas, roads,
small streams, and low-lying areas most vulnerable over both
regions.
The threat of severe thunderstorms moves into the Upper/Middle
Mississippi Valley as the front moves eastward on Wednesday.
Therefore, the SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe

tornadoes.
Moreover, showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will develop
over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley.
Therefore, the WPC issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive

Valley on Wednesday. The associated heavy rain will mainly cause
localized flash flooding, with urban areas, roads, small streams,

Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest on
Monday will trigger rain over parts of the Northwest and the
Northern California Coast, which will move inland to the Northern
Intermountain Region overnight Monday. Onshore flow and
upper-level energy will help produce rain and high-elevation snow
over parts of the Pacific Northwest and the Northern Intermountain
Region by Tuesday into Wednesday.
