Areas of fog still linger reducing visibility in a number of locations. There remain a few localized places where visibility is as low as one mile. Visibility will continue to improve through the early morning hours. But motorists should still be prepared for changes in visibility along their route and exercise extra caution.

Thinning clouds, light winds, and ample low-level moisture are helping areas of fog to develop and become locally dense early this morning. Local surface observations and webcams show areas of fog across far western NY in vicinity of Lake Erie this morning. Some of this fog may be locally dense, with visibilities down to a half mile or less at times. Fog is expected to dissipate by 9 AM this morning.
