At 802 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Salt River Pass, which is 14 miles south of Afton, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Salt River Pass around 810 PM MDT.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Motorists on US Highway 89 and Wyoming Highway 89 should prepare for gusty westerly wind gusts up to around 50 mph.
