* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Central Park County in central Wyoming... * WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 347 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Rapid river rises will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. 2 to 3 inches fell in this same area in the last 48 hours. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dead Indian Pass and Dead Indian Campground. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
