Description:
At 1056 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles east of
Abbotsford, or 24 miles west of Wausau, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Cherokee,
Milan, Edgar, March Rapids, Fenwood, Stratford and Rozellville.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
