At 236 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near War, or 10 miles south of Welch, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Bluefield... Tazewell... Burkes Garden... Clear Fork... Amonate... Gratton... and Asberrys.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northwestern North Carolina...southwestern Virginia...and southeastern West Virginia.
