At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Tower Hill, or near Bent Creek, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Buckingham... Dillwyn... New Canton... Toga... Centenary... Sheppards... and Andersonville.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central Virginia. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for south central Virginia.
