* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following county, Tazewell. * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 822 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. This area received 2 to 3 inches yesterday and is more prone to flooding. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Dry Fork, Beech Fork, Big Creek, Bluestone River, Clinch River and East Fork Cove Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bluefield... Pocahontas... Tiptop... Amonate... Boissevain... Bandy...
