* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Vermont, including the following county, Windham. * WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. The Deerfield River in Wilmington may rise out of its banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brattleboro, Vernon, Wilmington, Guilford Center, Guilford, Whitingham, Marlboro, Halifax, Jacksonville, Harrisville, Whitneyville, Ames Hill, Four Corners, West Halifax, West Guilford, Green River, Grove, Raponda Turn, West Brattleboro and Packer Corner. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
