Description: 
At 226 PM MDT, The thunderstorms which produced intense rainfall in Castro Canyon have weakened, but periodic light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue this afternoon. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen within 20 minutes from those earlier thunderstorms. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Castro Canyon and points downstream.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
