Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Coke County in west central Texas...
Irion County in west central Texas...
Sterling County in west central Texas...
Tom Green County in west central Texas...
* WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings
may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 930 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 3 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

San Angelo, Robert Lee, Sterling City, Mertzon, Blackwell,
Christoval, Bronte, Water Valley, Carlsbad, Arden, Broome, Grape
Creek, San Angelo State Park, Tankersley, O.C. Fisher Reservoir,
Sherwood, Twin Buttes Reservoir, Lake Nasworthy, Knickerbocker
and E.V. Spence Reservoir Near Paint Creek Recreation Area.

Howard and Webster, College Hills and Millbrook, Jackson From
Knickerbocker to South Bryant, Southwest Blvd and Loop 306, FM
1692 crossing Sales Branch, Huntington and Sunset, Huntington and
Sunset, Ranch Road 853 crossing Middle Concho River, Ranch Road
853 crossing east Rocky Creek and RM 853 crossing Dry Draw.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
