Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
county, Uvalde.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. River or
stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 338 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
reported between 12 and 24 inches of rain have fallen over
the past 48 to 72 hours. There will be residual areas of
flooding of roadways and poorly drained areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Reagan Wells, Laguna, Montell, Concan and Garner State Park.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
