* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Hood County in north central Texas...
Johnson County in north central Texas...
Somervell County in north central Texas...
* WHEN...Until 215 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1107 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Burleson, Cleburne, Granbury, Keene, Joshua, Pecan Plantation,
Glen Rose, Godley, Cross Timber, Cleburne State Park, Squaw Creek
Reservoir, Lake Pat Cleburne, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Oak
Trail Shores, Parker, DeCordova and Rio Vista.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
