* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Jack County in north central Texas...
Palo Pinto County in north central Texas...
Western Parker County in north central Texas...
* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 451 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. Radar estimates between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen in the past hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Weatherford, Mineral Wells, Brock, Western Lake, Graford, Bryson,
Palo Pinto, Cool, Lake Mineral Wells, Lake Palo Pinto, Possum
Kingdom Lake, Horseshoe Bend, Millsap, Perrin, Adell, Advance,
New Salem and Salesville.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
