Description:
At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Walnut Hill, or 7 miles west of Bristol Tn, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Walnut Hill, Bluff City, Tri-City
Airport, Benhams, and Blountville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
