Description:
At 810 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Baxter, or 9 miles west of Cookeville, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Baxter, Burgess Falls State Park, and Hamptons
Crossroads.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 271 and 289.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
