Description:
At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mercer, or 10 miles northwest of Chickasaw State Forest, moving east
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Chickasaw State Forest, Chickasaw State Park, Bemis,
Cloverport, Mercer, Medon, Neely, Pinson, Malesus, Parkburg, Vildo,
Hatchie, Westover, Madison Hall, Uptonville, Hickory Corners,
Deanburg, Teague, and Maple Grove.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
