Description: 
At 835 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Madison, or near Nashville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Gallatin, Lebanon, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Lakewood, Hermitage, Rural Hill, Belinda City, Old Hickory, Berry Hill, Green Hill, Whites Creek, and Percy Priest Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between mile markers 205 and 230. Interstate 65 between mile markers 78 and 93. Interstate 24 between mile markers 41 and 56.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
