Description:
At 1036 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
Ridgeview, or 21 miles east of Eagle Butte, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of South
Central Dewey County. Other locations impacted by the severe
thunderstorm include Lake Oahe.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
