Description:
At 903 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Owanka, or 34
miles east of Rapid City, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Owanka.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota near Mile Marker 93...and
between Mile Markers 97 and 98.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
