Description:
At 845 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of New
Underwood, or 27 miles east of Rapid City, moving southeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Wasta, Owanka and Wicksville.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 79
and 101...and between Mile Markers 103 and 106.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
