Description:
At 307 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bear Country,
or 10 miles south of Rapid City, moving southeast at 20 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR ALONG US HIGHWAY 16 FROM ROCKERVILLE
TOWARD REPTILE GARDENS.
HAZARD...Tennis ball to Softball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect
shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and
vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Hermosa, Fairburn, Hayward, Rockerville, Hart Ranch, Black Gap,
Reptile Gardens and Bear Country.
Instruction:
Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive
hail and damaging winds.
