Description:
At 617 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 5
miles northeast of Dears Ears Butte to near Rockerville, or along a
line from 41 miles southeast of Buffalo to 8 miles southwest of Rapid
City, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Rapid City, Rapid Valley, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box Elder,
Summerset, Black Hawk, Johnson Siding, Piedmont, Vale, Hisega,
Tilford, Owl Butte, Bear Butte State Park, Newell Lake, Dears Ears
Butte, Pactola Reservoir, Reptile Gardens and Black Gap.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 36
and 65.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
