Description:
At 1114 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Scenic to 8 miles northeast of Dry
Wood Housing, or extending from 42 miles southeast of Rapid City to
24 miles north of Pine Ridge, moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Northwestern Pine Ridge Reservation, Dry Wood Housing, western
Badlands National Park, Sheep Mountain Table, Scenic, Lonesome
Valley, Rockyford, Owanka, Wasta, Wall, Pinnacles Ranger Station
and Wicksville.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 89
and 115.
