At 632 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Columbia International University, or near St. Andrews, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, St. Andrews, McEntire Air Base, Dentsville, Arcadia Lakes, Hopkins, Villages at Sandhill, Columbia International University, Horrel Hill, Killian, Harbison State Forest, Riverbanks Zoo, Woodfield, Sesquicentennial State Park, Lake Carolina, SC State Fair Grounds, and West Columbia Riverwalk. This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 64 and 84. Interstate 26 between mile markers 105 and 109, and between mile markers 117 and 120. Interstate 77 between mile markers 1 and 23.
