* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina...
Colleton County in southeastern South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 536 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a nearly stationary line
of thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from
Hendersonville and Ritter southeast to Adams Run and Wadmalaw
Island. As much as 2 inches of rain has fallen in some areas so
far this evening and an additional 1 to 2 inches could fall
through 7 PM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor
drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Johns Island, Hollywood, Ravenel, Meggett, Jacksonboro, Ashepoo,
Adams Run, Green Pond, Ritter and White Hall.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
