Description:
* WHAT...For the first Gale Warning, east winds 35 to 40 kt with
gusts up to 50 kt and seas 12 to 17 ft expected. For the Storm
Warning, southeast winds 40 to 50 kt with gusts up to 65 kt
and seas 26 to 31 ft expected. For the second Gale Warning,
south winds 35 to 45 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 23 to
28 ft expected. For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 20
to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas 17 to 22 ft expected.
* WHERE...Cape Spencer to Cape Fairweather from 15 to 85 NM.
* WHEN...For the first Gale Warning, until 1 AM AKDT Thursday.
For the Storm Warning, from 1 AM to 7 AM AKDT Thursday. For
the second Gale Warning, from 7 AM to 10 AM AKDT Thursday. For
the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 AM Thursday to 1 PM AKDT
Friday.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous seas will capsize or
damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
