Description:
* WHAT...For the first Gale Warning, southeast winds 35 to 45 kt
with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 14 to 19 ft expected. For the
Storm Warning, southeast winds 40 to 50 kt with gusts up to 60
kt and seas 24 to 29 ft expected. For the second Gale Warning,
south winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 22 to
27 ft expected. For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 20
to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 17 to 22 ft expected.
* WHERE...Cape Edgecumbe to Cape Spencer from 15 to 80 NM.
* WHEN...For the first Gale Warning, until 1 AM AKDT Thursday.
For the Storm Warning, from 1 AM to 7 AM AKDT Thursday. For
the second Gale Warning, from 7 AM to 10 AM AKDT Thursday. For
the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 AM Thursday to 1 PM AKDT
Friday.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous seas will capsize or
damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
