Description:
* WHAT...For the first Small Craft Advisory, east winds 25 to 35
kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas 6 to 8 ft expected. For the
first Gale Warning, east winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 45
kt and seas 6 to 9 ft expected. For the Storm Warning, east
winds 40 to 50 kt with gusts up to 55 kt and seas 9 to 14 ft
expected. For the second Gale Warning, east winds 30 to 40 kt
with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 11 to 16 ft expected. For the
second Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 20 to 30 kt with
gusts up to 35 kt and seas 10 to 15 ft expected.
* WHERE...Cape Spencer to Cape Fairweather out to 15 NM.
* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, from 7 PM Wednesday
to 1 AM AKDT Thursday. For the first Gale Warning, from 1 AM
to 4 AM AKDT Thursday. For the Storm Warning, from 4 AM to 10
AM AKDT Thursday. For the second Gale Warning, from 10 AM to 4
PM AKDT Thursday. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 4
PM Thursday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous seas will capsize or
damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
