Description:
At 558 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Number 4, or 11
miles northwest of Pine Ridge, moving southeast at 35 mph. Up to 4
inch hail has been reported within the past 10 minutes.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR OGLALA, PINE RIDGE.
HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect
shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and
vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Pine Ridge, Oglala, Calico, Number 4, South Lakeside, Loneman, Wolf
Creek Housing and Slim Buttes Housing.
Instruction:
Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm has produced destructive hail and is
capable of producing damaging winds.
