Description:
At 1252 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Ralston to over Snow Shoe, or along a line from 20 miles north
of Montoursville to 11 miles northwest of Bellefonte, moving
southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Lock Haven, Jersey Shore, Keating, Lamar, Mill Hall,
Blossburg, Avis, Dunnstown, Flemington, Renovo, Duboistown,
Castanea, Karthaus, Blanchard, Clarence, McElhattan, South Renovo,
Pine Glen and Monument.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 180 between mile markers 25 and 29. Interstate 80 between
mile markers 165 and 187. Interstate 99 between mile markers 136 and
167.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
