Description:
At 734 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of Big
Cove Tannery, or 17 miles west of Greencastle, moving southeast at 20
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mercersburg, Big Cove Tannery, Claylick, Upton, Williamson and
Whitetail Ski Area.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
