Description:
At 833 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Inglesmith, or 18 miles south of Bedford, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Warfordsburg, Mercersburg, Big Cove Tannery, Needmore, Locust
Grove, Barnes Gap, Inglesmith, Claylick and Whitetail Ski Area.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 156 and 170.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
