For the second Frost Advisory, from midnight tonight to 9 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Chances for sub-freezing temperatures below 32 degrees are high in Parkdale and Dee (70-90%) Saturday night into Sunday morning. However, the majority of the Upper Hood River Valley should remain above freezing with lows of 33 to 36 degrees, including in Odell.
Instruction:
Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold. Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they are sensitive to cold temperatures. Consider temporarily covering sensitive plants with a lightweight cotton fabric (i.e., bedsheets, thin blankets), as this will help retain heat and provide frost protection for your plants.
