Description:
At 643 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Powhatan Point,
or 9 miles southwest of Moundsville, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
New Martinsville, Woodsfield, Powhatan Point, Cameron, Hundred,
Beallsville, Clarington, Jerusalem, Wilson, Alledonia, New
Freeport, Lynn Camp, Woodlands, Proctor, Glen Easton, Wileyville,
Knob Fork and Littleton.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
