Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in central Ohio, Licking.
* WHEN...Until 100 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 900 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Newark, Heath, Granville, Pataskala, Buckeye Lake, Hebron,
Harbor Hills, Granville South, Beechwood Trails, Etna,
Kirkersville, Gratiot, Interstate 70 at State Route 13,
Interstate 70 at State Route 37 and Brownsville.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
