Description:
At 549 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 7
miles west of Sawyer to 5 miles northeast of Velva, or along a line
from 11 miles south of Minot to 21 miles east of Minot, moving
northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Velva, Surrey, Sawyer, Norwich, Voltaire, Logan, Bergen, and
Simcoe.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
