Description:
At 419 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6
miles north of Powers Lake to 8 miles north of New Town, or along a
line from 26 miles northwest of Stanley to 16 miles south of Stanley,
moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Stanley, New Town, Powers Lake, Ross, Battleview, Palermo,
Lostwood, Belden, Four Bears Village, 4 Bears Lodge, Van Hook Park,
White Earth, Crow Flies High State Recreation Area, Parshall Bay
Recreation Area and Fort Berthold.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
