At 451 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Critz, or near Spencer, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Mayodan... Madison... Stoneville... Spencer... Sandy Ridge... Ridgeway... and Critz.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for north central and northwestern North Carolina...and south central, southwestern and west central Virginia.
