Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following
counties, Alleghany NC, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin and
southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.
* WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 301 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
showers and embedded thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5
inches of rain have fallen.

Brush Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Arnold Branch, Beaver Creek,
Big Sandy Creek, Bee Tree Branch, Big Pine Creek, Bussels
Creek, Big Warrior Creek and Big Bugaboo Creek.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather
Service by calling toll free at 1...8 6 6...2 1 5...4 3 2 4. Reports
