* Until 145 PM EDT.
* At 1256 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Oxford to near Garner, moving northeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Raleigh, Cary, Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Warrenton,
Wake Forest, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina.

Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 186 and 233.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 286 and 309.
Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 16.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 3 and 24.
US 1 between Mile Markers 98 and 101.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 22.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
These thunderstorms are capable of producing all types of severe
weather including destructive straight line winds and tornadoes.
Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a bathroom,
closet or basement.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM EDT for central North
Carolina.
