Description:
At 620 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Rocky Point, or
7 miles south of Burgaw, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Burgaw, White Stocking, Point Caswell, Long Creek, Murray Town,
Rooks, Ashton, Malpass Corner, Montague, Rocky Point, Currie, Castle
Hayne, Wards Corner, The Borough, Wrightsboro, St. Helena, Watha, and
Pender Memorial Hospital.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
