* At 525 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest
of Clinton, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Clinton, Harrells, Garland, Turkey, Ivanhoe, and Hobbton.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 344 and 359.
Instruction:
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
