At 810 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm over north Greensboro,
moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Greensboro, McLeansville, Pleasant Garden, and Forest Oaks.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 33 and 35, and between Mile
Markers 119 and 131.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 132 and 134, and between Mile
Markers 215 and 226.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 94 and 101.
Instruction:
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
