At 831 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles west of Oxford to near Butner to 7 miles east of Hillsborough, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Butner, Rougemont, Morrisville, Stem, Lake Michie, and Falls Lake State Rec Area. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 167 and 201. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 280 and 283. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 0 and 5. the Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 6 and 17.
