Description:
At 625 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northeast of Marshall, or near Mars Hill, moving southeast at
15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Marshall, Weaverville, Mars Hill, Leicester, Woodfin, Barnardsville,
Flat Creek, and Faust.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
