At 437 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles east of Erwin, or 9 miles northwest of Bakersville, moving
south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Newland, Banner Elk, Elk Park, Bakersville, Beech Mountain In Avery
County, Sugar Mountain, Seven Devils, Buladean, Minneapolis, and
Poplar.
Instruction:
