Description:
At 333 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles west of Scotland Neck, or 13 miles south of Halifax, moving
southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tarboro, Scotland Neck, Enfield, Princeville, Whitakers, Hobgood,
Speed and Leggett.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
