Description: 
At 1143 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Point Harbor, or 7 miles northwest of Kill Devil Hills, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Camden and southeastern Currituck Counties, including the following locations... Jarvisburg, Harbinger, Powells Point, Spot, and Mamie.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for northeastern North Carolina.
